Curo are on the lookout for locals to help shape plans for Mulberry Park, and whether you enjoy dancing, singing, listening to music or watching films, they want to hear from you.
Curo is developing 700 new homes, community facilities and open spaces at Mulberry Park, the former MOD Foxhill site in Combe Down.
As well as the new buildings, Curo wants to make sure that local people have access to a wide range of exciting activities in an inspiring, well-planned neighbourhood.
To help shape plans for arts and culture at Mulberry Park, Curo is working with Bath Bridge and arts consultant Suzanne Heath.
Bath Bridge is an independent city-wide advisory group concerned with positioning Bath as a place with a dynamic, beautifully inventive future.
Suzanne Heath brings expertise from community arts projects in Devon, Bristol, London, Lancashire and Cumbria.
She said: “We want to involve local people in the development of the artworks and activity, creating an ambitious programme that is accessible to all. This is an exciting opportunity for local people to shape that programme.”
The creative programme will aim to connect people with the place they live and celebrate the local area.
Artworks and creative activity could be inspired by the past, present and future of Foxhill and Combe Down.
Curo is inviting local people to share their ideas through an online survey at http://www.mulberryparkbath.co.uk/the-project/arts-and-culture/.
Survey responses, along with feedback gathered through meetings with local residents, stakeholder and arts organisations will help to shape an arts plan for the new development.
Belinda Kidd, Chief Executive of Bath Festivals and a Director of Bath Bridge commented: “This is a great opportunity to link Mulberry Park to the cycle of creative and cultural activities taking place across the city and establish Mulberry Park as integral to Bath’s beautifully inventive future.”
