Five men, including one from Bath, have been given football banning orders totalling 20 years following violent disorder during the Bristol City versus Bristol Rovers game last year.
The FBOs were issued at Bristol Crown Court on Thursday 17th April and follow a police investigation into the disturbances on 4th September last year when Bristol City and Bristol Rovers played in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match.
There was disorder before, during and after the game.
Lee Cousins, aged 40 of Soundwell Road in Bristol, admitted violent disorder and was given a two year jail sentence, suspended for two years and ordered to complete 300 hours of unpaid work.
Additionally he was given a five-year football banning order.
James Bagnall, aged 25, of Shickle Grove in Bath, admitted violent disorder, including assaulting a police officer. He was jailed for 18 months. Additionally he admitted affray (throwing a seat into the crowd) and was jailed for a further 12 months.
He was given a six-year football banning order.
Thomas Burke, aged 20 of Bredon in Yate, was given a 15-month jail sentence, suspended for two years after admitting violent disorder.
He was also ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work and given a three-year football banning order.
Alex Parsons, aged 20, of Walnut Close in Coalpit Heath, admitted violent disorder and was handed a 16-month jail sentence, suspended for two years.
He was also ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and was given a three-year football banning order.
Jordan Lloyd, aged 22, of Filton Avenue in Filton, admitted violent disorder and was given an 18-month jail sentence, suspended for two years. He was also ordered to complete 200 hours unpaid work.
He had previously admitted a public order offence for which there was no further sentence. However he has been issued with a three-year football banning order.
