Kingsmead Square is to host a Mini Christmas Market on Saturday 13th December between 11am and 4pm, organised by Emma Savage, owner of Grace & Ted.
Stalls will be selling locally made arts and crafts, a beautiful array of Christmas gifts as well as locally made food.
You’ll be able to listen to live music from great local musicians whilst you wander around the stalls and enjoy the relaxed festive atmosphere in this infamous square.
Further to the stalls, many of the square’s much loved cafes will be offering festive treats for shoppers with Mulled Wine available from the Jazz café, Cinnamon and Nutmeg Hot Chocolate’s from Society Café and delicious sweet & savoury crepes will be served at The Bath Coffee Company.
Once the market comes to a close, the festivities continue with the Choir from St. Michael’s Church, Broad Street serenading the crowds from 4.30pm with carols and other much loved Christmas tunes under the fairy lights of Kingsmead Square’s beautiful London Plane Tree.
Donations will be collected for the RUH Forever Friends Appeal and hymn sheets will be available for those wanting to join in. Big Ted himself will be there to sing along and to hand out Christmas cuddles.
Emma Savage, organiser of the market, said: “I am really excited that my initial idea all those months ago is now only a few weeks away.
“I saw it as an ideal opportunity to focus the activity on our much loved corner of Bath and to use the relaxed atmosphere that already exists to create the ultimate shopping experience by showcasing many of our boutique retailers and independent cafes away from the buzz of the busy Christmas Market.
“All of the retailers in Kingsmead Square have been hugely supportive and we are all really looking forward to our Mini Christmas Market and encourage everyone to come down and enjoy the festivities.”
