Avon and Somerset Police are looking to the public to help them find the rightful owner of a number of stolen tools which they have recently recovered.
Officers seized the items on Saturday 26th July. They believe them to have been stolen, possibly from a tradesperson’s van or a building site, in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire or Bath and North East Somerset area.
The items include a yellow Carroll and Meynell Transformer, a three foot long plaster/cement whisk, a blue metal toolbox and a blue Makita drill case containing a cordless drill and a cordless screwdriver.
PC 2803 Tom Williams said: “We know the impact that having the tools of your trade stolen can have on a business. We’d like to find the rightful owner of these items.
“If you can help us, please contact me at Concorde House, either through our website or by calling 101, quoting the reference PE36177/14.”
Police are advising tradesmen to install a sturdy, lockable cage for storing tools inside your van if you’re not able to empty it overnight.
