Southdown ward Councillors Dine Romero and Paul Crossley have welcomed the news that The Hollow in Southdown is to be resurfaced next month.
Southdown Councillor Dine Romero (Liberal Democrat) commented: “I’m pleased that the top part of The Hollow is due to be resurfaced next month.
“This stretch of the road is in particularly poor shape with many patches from utility company works.
“I understand that the works will be a complete resurfacing rather than simply top-dressing the existing tarmac.”
Councillor Paul Crossley (Liberal Democrat, Southdown) added: “The resurfacing works will help to improve road safety and will help make the area look cared for.
“The Council has not raised Council Tax for three years now but it has within its budget setting ensured money to provide a programme of road repairs and improvements.
“I am delighted that we are now improving The Hollow.”
