Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams is to help locals experience the thrill of ice sport while learning about teamwork at the first On Track with Amy sessions at the University of Bath.
The University has joined forces with Bath’s Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games gold medallist to offer an unforgettable sporting experience with real business benefits.
Amy, whose gold medal in Vancouver was the first won by an individual British athlete at an Olympic Winter Games for 30 years, said: “On Track with Amy is going to be great fun, but it’s also an opportunity to work on teamwork and goal-setting. It should prove a valuable experience for anyone who comes along.”
The sessions will take place at the University’s Sports Training Village on 11th October and 1st November and will include opportunities to listen to Amy talking about her Olympic experience and take part in a question and answer session with her.
There will then be the opportunity to take part in a skeleton session on the University of Bath’s push start track, which Amy trained on throughout her career.
On Track with Amy is available as a half-day or full day experience. Those tackling the full day will also get the chance to meet another Olympian and to experience the ultimate team challenge – loading a bobsleigh crew into a sled and then driving it down the track.
The On Track with Amy experience is available for groups of between 10 and 16 guests, with a half-day costing £300 per guest and a full day £450 per guest, which includes lunch in our Sports Café. An official photographer will also be on hand to take pictures of the all participants with Amy.
Companies wishing to book bigger teams can choose to book multiple days of On Track with Amy or combine it with Team Bath’s Gold Challenge multi-sports days.
