Bath & North East Somerset Council are seeking views from local residents on a proposed Local Food Strategy, aimed at improving diet-related health and other areas.
The Local Food Strategy sets out a framework for partnership action to improve diet-related health and equality, to reduce the environmental impact of the local food sector and to support a prosperous local food economy through the production and consumption of healthy, sustainable and more locally-produced food.
Cllr Paul Crossley (Lib-Dem), Leader of the Council, said: “The importance of healthy and sustainable food for all, and the need for a Local Food Strategy is now greater than ever.
“The draft Local Food Strategy sets out our ambitions for food in Bath and North East Somerset and will act to improve the health of our communities, the environment, and the local food and farming economy.”
Bath & North East Somerset Council is welcoming views and comments on the draft Local Food Strategy.

The strategy consultation closes on 5th October 2014.
